Everything clinics ask us.
If your question isn't here, message us on WhatsApp — we'd rather answer it properly than have you guess.
Getting started
Seventy-two hours is our standard for Basic and Pro, counted from the discovery call: day one is configuration and the hardware check, days two and three are installation and staff training. Premium deployments with custom workflows or multiple departments can take longer, and we tell you the realistic date during the consultation rather than promising 72 hours and missing it.
No. We install alongside your existing paper process and switch over between sessions, so you never lose a consulting slot. Most clinics run one session with the paper pad kept nearby as a safety net, and stop using it by the second day.
One sitting. The reception dashboard has two primary actions — add patient, call next — and that is genuinely the whole workflow. If your receptionist can use WhatsApp, they can run QLive. We stay on WhatsApp during your first live session for anything that comes up.
Yes. There are live sandboxes for all three tiers, loaded with sample patients, and no login is needed — just open one. Each includes the reception desk, the waiting-room display and the patient's phone view, and they update each other live so you can see the whole loop. Add patients, call tokens, open the analytics; nothing you do there affects anything real. We'd genuinely rather you spend five minutes in the sandbox before booking a call.
Hardware & setup
In most clinics, nothing. You need a screen in the waiting area that can open a web page — any TV with a browser, a cheap streaming stick, or an old laptop plugged into a monitor — and the computer or tablet reception already uses. We check all of it on the hardware call before installation. If something is genuinely missing we tell you what to buy, and you source it yourself rather than buying it from us at a markup.
No. Patients get a WhatsApp message and a plain web link that opens in whatever browser their phone already has — no install, no account, no password. Patients who don't use WhatsApp can look up their token by typing their phone number, and the waiting-room display always shows the current number regardless.
QLive Basic runs on your local network, so the desk dashboard and waiting-room display keep working through an outage — only the WhatsApp alerts pause, then send once you're back online. Pro and Premium are cloud-hosted, which is what makes remote access and analytics possible, so they do need a connection. We'll go through your specific connectivity on the discovery call and recommend accordingly.
On Pro and Premium, yes — multi-device reception sync means both counters see the same queue, updated the instant either one acts. Basic is designed around a single counter. If you run two desks during peak hours, Pro is the honest starting point.
Pricing & billing
Yes. ₹12,999 for Basic, ₹19,999 for Pro, ₹29,999 for Premium, paid once when the system goes live. It covers configuration, on-site installation, hardware setup and staff training. After that the only recurring cost is ₹2,000 a month.
Hosting, the WhatsApp messaging pipeline, software updates and fixes, backups, and support on WhatsApp. It's the same ₹2,000 across all three plans and it doesn't change with patient volume. It also covers reconfiguration when your clinic changes — a new doctor, a new session pattern, a new room.
None. Thirty patients or three hundred, the cost is identical. We priced it deliberately this way — a system that gets more expensive the busier you are is a system clinics switch off on exactly the days they need it most.
Upgrading is common — usually Basic to Pro once a clinic wants analytics or a second counter. Message us and we'll quote the difference and schedule the migration; your queue setup and message templates carry over. If you want to move down a tier, talk to us and we'll work out what that means for your deployment.
We share payment details and a formal invoice for both the setup fee and the monthly maintenance when you confirm your deployment. Ask us on WhatsApp for current payment options and any applicable taxes before you commit — we'd rather have that conversation up front than surprise you.
Data & privacy
Only what a queue needs: name, mobile number, token number, visit type if you use one, and the timestamps of check-in and consultation. QLive is not a medical records system — it holds no diagnoses, prescriptions, test results or clinical notes, and we don't want it to.
On Basic, on the local machine in your clinic. On Pro, on standard cloud infrastructure we manage. On Premium, on cloud infrastructure isolated to your deployment alone. Our privacy policy sets this out in more detail, and we're happy to answer specific questions before you sign anything.
Your clinic does. We process it to run the service you're paying for. Premium includes CSV export so you can take it out whenever you want; on other tiers, ask us and we'll provide an export.
Patients give you their number at check-in specifically so you can tell them when their turn is coming, and messages are limited to that purpose — confirmation, an approaching-turn alert, and the turn itself. QLive is not a marketing tool and we don't use it to send promotions. Your clinic remains responsible for telling patients how you use their number.
Support & day-to-day
Reception moves on to the next token. On Premium you can formally skip a no-show and reinstate them later without breaking the numbering. Because patients get a WhatsApp alert several places before their turn, no-shows at the moment of calling tend to drop noticeably once the system is in use.
Emergency and VIP priority insertion is a Premium feature — one action pushes a case to the front, renumbers everyone behind cleanly and notifies them, so nobody arrives at the desk confused about being passed over. On Basic and Pro you can still manage it manually at the desk, it just isn't a dedicated control.
WhatsApp, on the same number you used to buy. Basic and Pro get support during working hours; Premium includes priority 24/7 engineering support, which matters when you're running evening and weekend sessions at volume.
Then something about the system is wrong for your desk, and we want to hear about it. That failure mode is exactly why the reception interface is only two buttons. Tell us what's getting in the way and we'll reconfigure it — that's covered by your monthly maintenance.
Still unanswered?
Send us the question directly. You'll get a straight answer, including "no, QLive doesn't do that" where that's the truth.
